Toy Bombs
Downtown Des Moines, IA with Little Hanna Monster taking photos while she pretends to be launching the fireworks out of an old civil war cannon on the front steps of the capitol building. It was a "BLAST"

Been Out Ridin' Fences
I stopped on the side of the road on an incredibly long drive out to Williams Creek Reservoir near Pagosa Springs, CO. http://www.coloradogeographic.com/Default.aspx?FeatureID=17
Don't know what this mountain is, just thought it looked sweet with the decrepid barbed wire fence.

I'm Only Happy When it Rains
Lack of Human Contact Buzz
The road I'm walking down doesn't even have a name. It's been below zero for over a month now. All I'm carrying is a camera and a thermos of lukewarm sake. I joke out loud to myself that I like my sake like I like my women--Hot....with a low self esteem.... Crickets would chirp but it's too fucking cold.

Starry, Starry Night. Paint Your Palette Blue and Gray
Watching the stars come out at my Dads house up in Howland, Maine (aka The Middle of Nowhere). Nothing but miles and miles of forest to explore. There really aren't very many things more amazing than looking up at the stars out in the country, away from all the light pollution. Nothing makes you feel smaller, but at the same time, part of something so vast. -Justin-
Boom Goes The Dynamite
It's 1:00 am on a Saturday in Altoona, Iowa. I'm standing in the T.V. Studio watching the sky erupt over the race track from the large windows. It seems to storm here every night. I'm seeing the lightning crack down like an electric whip. Such an awesome display of power. I look down and realize that I'm sporting a massive erection.

Trippy Witchy Tree
Dark Tree
This tree and the surrounding shrubs, in the San Juan Mountains, were missing the lower half of their bark and most of the foliage, yet the rest of the area was vivid green and lush. It was a dark spot with a hidden story. So I took the photo and manipulated it until it looked like it belonged with Poe, or maybe something nerdier!
